Treasure Valley golf courses typically shut down during the beginning of December or even the end of November. This season, it's already the second week of January and many are still open.
"What are we doing in January - golfing with no snow on the ground?" said Michael Judd, a golfer from Eagle. "It's unbelievable."
Judd says this is this driest winter he can remember in his eight years living in Idaho.
While his son says he's a little disappointed about there being no snow, it's not all bad.
"It's cold and the greens are a lot rougher and the ball can bounce farther, but I think it's really good to be golfing in the winter," said Aidan Judd, an Eagle resident.
Golf courses say the extra days open are bringing in quite a few extra dollars.
"It definitely has been a pleasant surprise," said T.J. Gomez, the head golf pro at Shadow Valley golf course. "There's no question about that."
However, golf courses say there's a definite downside to the wacky weather - without Mother Nature's moisture, their grass is beginning to dry out.
